An easy way to get rid of weeds

Weeds in the suburban area cause more harm than diseases and pests combined. They drain the soil, take away food and light from cultivated plants, release toxic substances into the ground, pathogenic microorganisms and pests find shelter in the weeds.

Getting rid of weeds in a summer cottage is not so simple. They are extremely prolific, their seeds are carried by wind, water, animal hair, clothing, shoes, retaining germination from 3 to 70 years. Many perennial weeds are easily renewed from a small piece of rhizome or offspring.

But there are ways to get rid of weeds. The simplest and most affordable is to use a non-woven covering material of black color, which transmits water and air, but does not transmit light.

Lay the material on the ground in the place where you need it (bed, flower garden, etc.) and make cross-shaped cuts in it at the places under which the plants you need are. They will break through the cuts, and weeds will be under the material. In the absence of light, the weeds' strength will be depleted, they will not be able to overcome this obstacle and die.
